The FN FNP-40 is a semi-automatic pistol designed and manufactured by FN Herstal in Belgium. It was introduced in 2006 as an updated version of the popular FNP series of pistols. The FNP-40 is chambered for the .40 S&W cartridge and has a 14-round magazine capacity. It features a stainless steel slide and barrel, polymer frame, and is available in both standard and compact sizes. The FNP-40 also has adjustable sights, ambidextrous magazine release and slide stop, and a Picatinny rail for the attachment of accessories. It is designed for use by law enforcement and military personnel as well as civilian shooters.
